Pan European ‘Interaction’ Festivals

Our new Interaction Festival programme brings British and French schools together to stay at our partner accommodation, the Ambleteuse centre, for a 5 day cultural and linguistic exchange.

During the week, British students will interact in small groups with students from their French partner schools, communicating in French & English, as well as learning more about foreign cultures and the hobbies and interests of children from other countries.

Each Festival is targeted at a specific Key Stage guaranteeing students mix with peers of the same age and ability. And just like any festival, there will be lots going on!

The Festivals make use of our tried and tested Interaction activities, backed up by Key Stage specific workbooks for students and handbooks for teachers. Uniquely, the Interaction and communication with your partner schools begins as soon as you confirm your booking. Our Voyager Interaction website allows you to exchange emails, photos and even video with your partner schools from the moment you book. Our French office will send you contact details of your French schools and will also send you and your partner schools, login details to your own dedicated Interaction website area. Ambleteuse – the perfect venue!

Ambleteuse is the perfect location for our festival programme – 25 minutes from Calais on the Opal Coast, superb accommodation following a 5,000,000€ refurbished programme, facilities which include indoor swimming pool, meeting rooms, function rooms & tennis courts, 15 minute walk to the beach, plus acres of car-free, perimeter fenced grounds. Each festival has sole occupancy of the Ambleteuse centre.

Critical to the programme is our partnership with Artes who run the Ambleteuse centre and who already have an extensive client list of French, Belgian and Dutch schools wanting to take part in this programme. Read more about Ambleteus.

Leaders in French Language Learning

The Interaction Festivals programme is borne out of 20 years experience of giving British school children the opportunity to speak French in fun and supportive environments. Our Chateau de la Baudonniere has been leading the way in French language immersion programmes since 1991, with close to 200 schools coming to us each year. Our other French language programmes include Paris Parle at our Paris centre, D-Day Normandy Language at our Chateau Bellenau and Normandy Experience.

The Voyager Interaction Team

Voyager Interaction has its very own dedicated team based round the corner from Ambleteuse in Calais. Every member of the team is bi-lingual and all have teaching backgrounds. The Interaction team will organise your Festival programme, deal with any enquiries and support you during your stay. Voyager Interaction representatives will also be based at Ambleteuse throughout the festival to facilitate and organise activities.
